Annual Key Largo Bridge Run Coming in November

Every year runners flock to Key Largo for one of the most unique runs in the country, the First State Bank Key Largo Bridge Run. Scheduled to take place on November 14, 2021, this race provides distance runners unparalleled beauty in one of the most scenic courses a runner can find - above the beautiful Upper Keys and skirting the eastern borders of the Everglades. Runners race across the Jewfish Creek Bridge, sitting at 65 feet above the water. The Jewfish Creek Bridge is really the doorway to the Keys as it connects the mainland to the Keys at Key Largo.

The race offers two courses depending on your running preferences, including a full half marathon option as well as a 5k run or walk. Many events are scheduled along with the race itself as well. There is a meet and greet party scheduled for Friday, November 12 at Key Largo Conch House, as well as a pasta dinner on Saturday at Doc’s Diner.

Race day packets will be available for pick up Saturday November 13 between 11:00 and 4:00 at First State National Bank in Key Largo.

If you are a resident of Key Largo real estate, or live nearby and wish to register for the Bridge Run, registration is now open! Registration for the half marathon costs $110 in the month of October, but will increase to $115 in November. The registration fee for the 5k walk/run is $55 per person and $40 for anyone under the age of 17. To register for the race, visit the Key Largo Bridge Run.

All residents of Key Largo homes and Key Largo homes for sale need to be aware of these dates, as  portions of the bridge will be closed for runners during the morning hours. Residents should also take note of where events are being held throughout the weekend so that they can plan accordingly.
