13th Annual Key West Food and Wine Festival Coming This Month

Decadent meals. Tasty trendy bites. Culinary innovation. Wine pairings and sampling. All of these and more will be on hand at the 13th Annual Key West Food and Wine Festival this month. Scheduled to take place from Wednesday January 26 through Sunday January 30, the event is always at the top of the Key West social scene, and can be experienced by all residents and tourists alike, with tickets for individual events already on sale!

Many events are scheduled as part of the festival over the course of the five day experience, including evenings of wine and art, extravagant galas, cooking classes, food and wine tastings and more to feature the top culinary talent in the Keys. This year’s theme is the Year of the Rooster - a nod to the iconic birds that make Key West their home. The first welcome event of the festival is a reception on Wednesday that will be designed to celebrate “rooster style” and offer an overview of what is to come for the rest of the Food and Wine Festival - all while attendees nibble on gourmet appetizers and sample top picks of wine.

A variety of events are scheduled for Thursday, January 27. Kicking off the day is a food truck lunch experience where diners will enjoy beer and wine pairings with fresh local seafood. Throughout the day, festival-goers can tour fantastic Key West luxury homes on a food and wine tour across the city. A featured event on Thursday is the Fiesta on Fitzpatrick, a Latin-inspired event featuring fantastic cuisine with Latin flair, rum tastings, cigar-rolling, and festive music and dancing.

The Key West Food and Wine Festival will kick off the third day with “Bubbles and Bites, pairing wine and champagne with an art gallery and artist showcase. The main event of the day is “A Night in Tuscany,” with a Tuscan-inspired gala featuring Tuscan wine and cuisine in a multicourse dinner.

The highlight of the entire Key West Food and Wine Festival is scheduled to take place on Saturday night. Known as the “Rooster Grand Tasting,” the outdoor party will feature unique wine offerings and eclectic food bites while keeping the elegant party going with music and dancing. Following the swanky soiree will be a VIP tasting highlighting smoked cocktails, an absinthe fountain, and more to delight the senses and the palate.

Closing the five day affair will be a “mad rooster” Sunday brunch. The event will wrap up the festival with Argentinian cuisine and wine.

Residents of Florida Keys properties, from Key Largo to Key West, look forward to the Key West Food and Wine Festival every year. This year is sure to bring your fun, food and drink dreams to life in a way that only Key West can!
